Contributing to Practical Progress in Maritime Procurement

The Global Maritime Procurement Council (GMPC) welcomes engagement from organisations and individuals who share a commitment to strengthening maritime procurement through collaboration, professionalism, and practical delivery.

The Council is not a membership association and does not operate on a commercial basis. Participation is based on relevance, contribution, and alignment with the GMPC’s objectives and governance principles.

Ways to Engage

Apply to Become a Council Member

The Council provides a structured way for procurement leaders and specialists to engage with GMPC activity. Forum Council members contribute to discussions, working groups, and implementation initiatives, supporting the development of shared frameworks and industry guidance.

Participation is suited to organisations that:

• Are actively involved in maritime procurement or supply chain management

• Wish to contribute expertise, insight, or practical experience

• Support open, compliant collaboration across the industry

Forum Council membership reflects contribution and engagement rather than scale alone.

Apply to Contribute to a Workstream

GMPC workstreams are where practical work is carried out. Participation may include:

• Contributing expertise or case experience

• Supporting surveys, pilots, or framework development

• Engaging in focused workshops or discussions

Workstream participation is open to Council members, but also to invited contributors, including subject-matter experts, service providers, and industry bodies, where appropriate. If you believe you can contribute as an expert, but may not be prepared to dedicate time as a full Council Member, then we would still like to hear from you.

Governance and Compliance

All GMPC activity operates under a strict antitrust and competition compliance framework.

Participation requires:

  • Adherence to defined meeting protocols and permissible discussion topics
  • Respect for confidentiality and organisational sovereignty
  • A focus on non-commercial, industry-wide improvement

The GMPC does not discuss pricing, commercial terms, volumes, or supplier-specific strategies.

Expression of Interest Form

This form is intended for organisations and individuals who wish to express interest in engaging with the Global Maritime Procurement Council (GMPC), whether through Council participation or workstream contribution. All expressions of interest are reviewed in line with GMPC governance principles and current priorities.
