The Digitalisation Workstream addresses inefficiencies and fragmentation across maritime procurement systems. Its remit includes, but is not limited to:

  • Digital procurement platforms and ERP integration
  • AI applications in procurement processes
  • RFQ and quotation workflows
  • Order confirmation and supplier-side automation
  • E-invoicing and data harmonisation
  • Supplier onboarding and interoperability standards

The workstream aims to define best-practice frameworks, assess current industry maturity through surveys, and engage with external experts to support scalable, practical solutions.

Talent Management & Education

This workstream focuses on attracting, developing, and retaining procurement talent within the maritime sector. Key areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Positioning maritime procurement as a compelling career path
  • Education and training frameworks
  • Capability and competency standards
  • Mentorship and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Engagement with academic and professional institutions

The objective is to support both individuals and organisations in building strong, future-ready procurement teams.
